RPTC was registered with CEDI (Centre for Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation) of Tamilnadu, nodal centre being NIT, Trichy. The idea is to set up and promote innovation and entrepreneurship by converting and translating technology ideas and innovation in various disciplines of science and technology into products, processes and services for commercial purposes and the benefit of society. As part of this, two faculty members have been trained by CEDI. Students have been enrolled for the Awareness Training program and have attended webinars and trainings online.

As a part of this, RPTC plans to run an Incubator Cell to facilitate incubation of new business ideas and providing students with technical and networking support and services.
