RPTC Library is located in the ground floor of Main Block and is spread over 350 sq.m. The Library has a good collection of books covering various branches of Mechanical, Mechatronics, Civil, Science & Humanities and General Books.
Library Automation
The RPTC Library is fully automated using an integrated software called “NIRMALS” and barcode technology with Acquisition, Cataloguing, Circulation and Serial Control
The library is well furnished and modern with multimedia, internet surfing and digital library facilities in a learner supportive atmosphere. Internet connection is available to the students and Staff members for accessing digital collections, such as e-books, e-journals, NPTEL videos, etc.
The entry and exit into the Library is captured through a biometric reader and provides details on utilization of the library. Search of Catalogues based on Title, Author, Subject, Publisher and Publication Year is possible.

- The members have to sign in the issue register on receipt of the card
- The members are responsible for safe keep of the cards issued to them
- Loss of cards will have to be intimated to the Librarian within a day of loss to prevent any misuse of the card
- Duplicate library cards will be issued on payment of Rs.100 /- each and only once during the membership
- The member will be responsible for any book lent against the lost card
- The members will have to return the cards to the library on leaving the institution

General Rules & Regulations
- Books will be issued only on production of valid ID cards
- Books should be returned on or before due date
- If the books and other library materials issued against library cards are not returned by the due date a fine of Re. 1/- per day per item from student members and Rs.2/- per day per item from faculty and other staff members will be levied till the time the book is returned or replaced with a new copy in case of lost books
- Any misbehaviour or misuse of library facilities, be any member will be liable for forfeit of library membership
